As the main electricity consumers in a wastewater treatment plant, aeration blowers greatly influence overall plant operating cost. The most energy-efficient solution must be based on actual conditions that, in reality, are far from static. In fact, energy efficiency alone may not be the governing factor in optimized blower selection and neither are comparisons made at one hypothetical operating point only.
