Project alliance delivers 'green' fuels
A cooperative effort between a refiner, gas supplier and utility / power company enabled construction of a highly integrated refinery upgrade ahead of schedule
The growing worldwide trend towards tightening of gasoline and diesel fuel specifications around the world has created an opportunity for leadership in the delivery of clean fuels. BP has embraced this opportunity worldwide and has established an industry leading strategy to implement clean fuel initiatives. A recently completed initiative is the Queensland Clean Fuels Project (QCFP) in Brisbane, Australia, which is the first major project in the Australian region in response to these changes. This project combined the vision and commitment of operating companies with the technical and project delivery excellence of experienced engineering contractors. The QCFP has demonstrated world benchmark performance, measured across a number of critical areas ahead of the upsurge in global clean fuels capital investment.
