Finding the cause can be elusive but calculations help

When troubleshooting bolt failures, broken shafts, cracked or bent parts, often the source of the force causing the problem is unknown. Whenever normal design loads arent sufficient to explain such failures, the search for the cause of the large forces or torques begins and analytical means are helpful.
