Alfa Laval has received an order from Japanese engineering company JGC Corp. to supply heat exchangers for a major natural gas project in Qatar.

The order value is approximately SEK 90 million and delivery is scheduled for 2012.

The order consists of various heat exchangers to the Barzan Onshore gas plant, located in Ras Laffan Industrial City, north of Doha, the capital of Qatar.

The Alfa Laval heat exchangers will be used for recovering energy in the gas cleaning process and for process cooling of the overall gas plant.

“Alfa Laval has a strong position in the oil and gas markets and has delivered products and solutions to Qatar’s gas fields for many years. This order confirms the continuously high activity within the oil and gas industry- and is also a direct result from our strong presence in Japan”, says Lars Renström, CEO of the Alfa Laval Group.
