Honeywell has been selected to upgrade the safety and control system at Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname’s refinery to Honeywell’s Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) solution. The upgrade, which is being designed and implemented within the context of the Suriname Refinery Expansion Project, will double the refinery’s capacity and expand its range of products and fuels. The project is being managed by Saipem as the main contractor responsible for engineering, procurement, module prefabrication and construction management.
