Deloitte has named John England as the new
leader for its oil and gas sector in the United States, part of
the organizations energy and resources industry
In his new role, England will be responsible for strategic
oversight of all Deloittes professional services work for
a wide range of oil and gas companies.
England boasts nearly two decades of experience with
Deloitte. Most notably, he has served as its audit and
enterprise risk services industry leader for energy in the
United States and has held a similar global role.
Society of Women Engineers (SWE) has named
Loraine A. Huchler
as the recipient of the SWE Entrepreneur
Award for 2012.
President of MarTech Systems, Inc, Huchler is being recognized
for having built a highly-regarded consulting business,
acknowledged as a leading authority and thinker in risk
management for industrial water systems, and inspiring the next
generation of entrepreneurs.
She has been a contributing editor at Hydrocarbon Processing for 13 years,
authoring the highly-acclaimed column, HPIn Water Management.
Huchler is an influential voice in her industry and serves as a
role model for colleagues and peers.
Hydro announced the
addition of a new Hydro company based in the Houston area.
Hydro Parts Solutions Inc. will support pump
users with parts solutions through reverse engineering of
obsolete parts and by providing improved alloy quality,
repeatability, and fast turnaround for emergency parts.
Hydro Parts Solutions, led by Jeff Smith
(president), is a company created and operated by veterans of
the pump industry. Prior to joining Hydro, Jeff Smith served as
president of a major reverse engineering and part manufacturing
company for 16 years and also worked for several OEMs in the
pump, oilfield and process industries.
Sylvia Gross (vice president and director
of operations) worked her entire career in customer service and
sales roles in the pump parts industry before joining Hydro
Parts Solutions. Jesse Stinson (director of technology) has spent the last 10
years developing his reverse engineering skills while working
in drafting, machining and pump repair roles.
Technip appointed Alexandra Bech
Gjørv as a member of its board of directors,
replacing Daniel Lebègue. She is a
partner in the law firm Hjort (Norway) and
also chaired the public 22 July Commission on terrorist
Meanwhile, M. Pascal Colombani was
appointed chairman of the audit committee of the Technip board
In addition, following the Ethics & Governance
Committees proposal, the board appointed
Gérard Hauser as the companys
senior independent director for a two-year term.
Amedick has taken over the leadership of the large
drives business unit of the Siemens Drive Technologies
Division. The large drives business unit develops,
manufactures, and markets products, systems, solutions, and
services for drive engineering in industrial and infrastructure
application as well as industries such as shipbuilding, pulp
and paper, mining, and cement.
Amedick follows Jürgen Brandes, who
took over the leadership of the Rail Automation Business Unit
in the infrastructure and cities sector.
Amedick most recently headed the products segment of the
large drives business unit. The 53-year-old engineer has been
at Siemens since 1984 and started his career as a project engineer.
Donald Humphreys, senior vice president and principal
financial officer of ExxonMobil, will retire
on February 1, 2013.
Humphreys is also responsible for the companys fuels,
lubricants and specialties marketing and global services
operations. He is retiring after more than 36 years with

Chemicals company AkzoNobel reported that
medical specialists expect company CEO Ton
Büchner to fully recover from an illness and it
is anticipated that he will return to work sometime around

Honeywell Sensing and Control announced that
Remi Volpe has been named vice
president-general manager for S&Cs Europe, Middle East and Africa
In this role, Remi will strengthen the regions
alignment to S&Cs global business goals and is
responsible for driving continued growth in the region,
according to the company.
Based in Rolle, Switzerland, Volpe has more than 20 years of
Honeywell experience. Prior to joining S&C, he served as
the EMEA marketing director-buildings and CentraLine business
leader for Honeywells Environmental & Combustion
Controls (ECC) business.
Endicott Biofuels (EBF) has named
Shanoop Kothari as chief financial officer
(CFO) for the company, while also appointing Roderick
Hayslett to the newly-created role of vice president
Prior to joining EBF, Mr. Kothari served as vice president of
Credit Suisse in Houston where he was
responsible for energy investment banking focused on oil,
natural gas and renewable energy clients.
Mr. Kotharis previous experience also includes various
senior leadership positions at Bindview Corp.
and as senior accountant at Price Waterhouse
Mr. Hayslett joined Endicott as CFO in August 2010 after 32
years of experience in finance and the financial markets and 20
years as a corporate officer.
Specialty chemicals firm Ashland hired
Luis Fernandez-Moreno as president of its
water technologies business.
Fernandez-Moreno was until recently an executive at
Arch Chemical, where he oversaw the water
products and wood protection chemicals businesses.
US-based refiner Valero Energy announced that
Deborah Platt Majoras has been elected to the
companys board of directors.
Majoras, 48, is chief legal officer and secretary of
The Procter & Gamble Company. Previously
she served as chairman of the Federal Trade
Commission, deputy assistant attorney general in the
US Department of Justices antitrust
division, and a partner at the Jones Day law
Majoras is a member of the boards of trustees of the
Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, the Cincinnati Legal Aid
Society and the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.
Oiltanking Partners has selected Anne-Marie
Ainsworth to succeed Carlin Conner as
president and chief executive officer of its general
Ms. Ainsworth will also serve on the board of directors of
Oiltanking's general partner.
A refining industry veteran with 34
years of experience, Ms. Ainsworth was most recently senior
vice president of Sunoco Refining. Prior to joining
Sunoco, she was employed by Motiva
Enterprises, where she was general manager of the
Motiva refinery in Norco, Louisiana.
Mr. Conner has assumed the role of managing director of
Oiltanking GmbH and joined the executive board
of Marquard & Bahls AG. He will remain
chairman of the board of the general partner of the
Fluor Corp. reports that James A.
Scotti, senior vice president and chief procurement
officer for the company, was recently named a new member of the
National Academy of Construction at the
organization's annual meeting.
The members of the academy are drawn from a select roster of
industry professionals who have demonstrated significant and
long-term contributions to the construction industry.
Scotti's selection recognized his leadership in advancing
the procurement profession within the construction industry and in
developing strategic partnerships with suppliers around the
world. He isalso the first procurement executive in the
industry to be inducted.
