when we have a hot pump , we prefer to line up the pump with the hot product and after 3 hours we make the alignment.it gives good results : no vibration.
if we start straight by cold alignment , we need to have the details of the vertical and horizontal deports.until now , I know some GE compressors still have serious vibration problems because of using a rigid coupling with gas turbine .
