Country spotlight: Kazakhstan

According to data from the Kazakhstan Ministry of Oil and Gas, the country’s three oil refineries processed nearly 14.3 million tons (MMt) of crude in 2013. The 2013 crude and condensed gas production totaled 81.8 MMt. Crude and condensed gas exports for the period added up to 72.08 MMt. Also of note for the Kazakh oil business is that the capacity of the Atasu-Alashankow oil pipeline to China was expanded, bringing it up to a level of 20 MMtpy.
