This is a very good concept however the real challenge lies in implementation without impacting production/"Extra Precaution" from the perspective of (I) The process impact information which is with the licensor, who in most cases may not like to make it public/share his worst case scenario (ii) Plant Production and operations , who have to run operation considering its practical/day to day constraints of operating in shifts with varied skill set operators + Support from his service departments like mechanical, Instrumentation and controls and (iii) The OEM data sheets and recommended operating conditions as well as maintenance schedule.

Engineers and designers are highly skilled individuals. Forcing them to enter design changes using tables, forms and spreadsheets is unproductive and uneconomical, and it increases the likelihood of human error—this is the way that most instrumentation software systems currently work. For too long, software vendors have denied engineers and designers the simple practicality of a graphical visual engineering interface with “drag and drop” capability and inbuilt intelligence, ensuring changes are automatically replicated into all the associated data and databases.
