The dynamics of energy markets are increasingly determined by the emerging economies, particularly those in Asia. The World Energy Outlook 2011 (WEO-2011) projects that, over the next 25 years, 90% of the projected growth in global energy demand will come from non-Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (non-OECD) economies, with China alone accounting for more than 30%.
