The Pegasus pipeline has been out of service since March 29, when a breach in the line led to thousands of barrels of oil spilling into a residential neighborhood in Mayflower, Arkansas.

    Phillips 66 said it boosted the share of discounted crude produced in the US and Canada that its refineries process to 68% of its feedstock, up from 60% last year. The company said relatively cheap oil from shale and Canadian sources is central to the company's midcontinent refineries.

    Located in the Athabasca region of northeastern Alberta, production from Kearl's initial development is expected to reach daily production of 110,000 bbl by late this year.     Plains said the pipeline is expected to transport both sweet and sour crude oil from the Permian Basin to the Eagle Ford pipeline it operates as part of a joint venture with Enterprise Products. The Eagle Ford pipeline serves markets in Three Rivers, Texas, and Corpus Christi, Texas.
