With more than 50 years of process control experience, TapcoEnpro International, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright Flow Control, today is known as one of the industry’s most successful suppliers of engineered solutions. With sales and service representation worldwide, TapcoEnpro offers custom-designed valves and complementary components, and mid-/heavy-wall pressure vessel and reactor manufacturing.
TapcoEnpro’s valves operate in industrial process applications, including fluid catalytic-cracking units, residual catalytic-cracking units, millisecond catalytic-cracking units, power generation, as well as steel manufacture and iron-ore reduction. Valve types include slide, plug, diverter, butterfly, angle, and TapcoEnpro’s patented bolt-less slide valves—with sizes varying from 4 in. to 140 in.
The TapcoEnpro mid- and heavy-wall pressure vessel and reactor manufacturing facility is the largest of its type in the Western Hemisphere. Located in Baytown, Texas, the facility has two mid-/heavy-vessel bays with four 100-ton cranes and 45-ft under-hook lifting capabilities. The facility also has heavy plate rolls capable of forming plate up to 8 in., computerized thermal cutting, a 2,500-ton hydraulic press break, and one of the largest enclosed blast/paint bays on the Gulf Coast.
