The service concentrates on high-performance gearboxes and other load gear units, but they also deal with heavy-duty couplings, double and single diaphragm couplings, toothed couplings and rotor turning gears/barring gears. Voith Turbo BHS’ service portfolio is not limited to routine maintenance. They also install, align and commission turbo gearboxes and revamp units to increase their performance or adapt them to new duties. They measure and analyze vibration, noise, and lubricating oil. Visual checks, surface crack detection, dye penetrant tests, magnetic powder tests, and checks of tooth contact pattern and tooth geometry are also carried out.
