Scott Safety opens new training, service hub near Houston

PASADENA, Texas -- Scott Safety, a global manufacturer of respiratory, personal protective equipment and safety devices, has announced the opening of a new service and training facility in the Houston area to support its growing customer base in flame and gas detection.
The service and training center is located in Pasadenas East Belt Industrial Park, the heart of the regions downstream refining and petrochemical industries. It is also strategically convenient to the Houston Ship Channel.
With thousands of people depending on Scott Safety products to protect them in high-risk environments, the new Houston facility confirms the companys commitment to providing its flame and gas detection customers with dedicated resources to help them grow and protect their businesses.
The 10,000-square foot facility will provide flame, fixed and portable gas detection partners and end users with technical and service support in late 2013. The new facility will enable Scott Safety to provide its customers in the US with local flame and gas detection products and service.
In early 2014, the new facility also will begin to serve as a regional Scott Safety training location and provide customers and partners with a dedicated resource for demonstrations and education on all Scott Safety flame and gas detection products.
Scott Safety products provide protection from environmental hazards including smoke, toxic fumes, combustible gases, falling objects and flame contaminants and are designed to deliver five key components: optimum protection, simplicity of use, user comfort, lower total cost of ownership and simple maintenance.
The company has global technological expertise and marries that with a total commitment to engage with end users, ensuring that Scott products are created to meet the specific needs of each user.
The Scott product line includes self-contained breathing apparatus, supplied air and air-purifying respirators, flame and gas detection instruments, thermal imaging cameras, air compressors, accountability systems, head, eye and face protection, and firefighter and personal protective clothing.
