TOYO awarded fertilizer plant 2nd train project in Nigeria

Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO, President and CEO Haruo Nagamatsu) has been awarded a contract to build a second train (Train-2) of a fertilizer plant from Indorama Eleme Fertilizer & Chemicals Limited (IEFCL). At the end of 2012, TOYO received an order for IEFCL’s first train fertilizer plant located at Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria.

The Train-2 award is a result of the successful completion of the first train with good performance through TOYO’s process engineering technology and project execution capability.

The Train-2 facility, to be built adjacent to first train, is of the same production capacity and configuration having 2,300 tons per day of Ammonia and the world largest 4,000 tons per day of granulated urea, employing technology licenses from Kellogg Brown & Root LLC., U.S.A. and TOYO respectively, including relevant utilities and offsite facilities. TOYO is responsible for grant of its own urea technology license (ACES21®), basic design, detail engineering, procurement and commissioning services for Train-2 project.

TOYO is committed to executing the Train-2 project based on its best practices & lessons learned through the first train project execution and to contribute to IEFCL’s business expansion in Nigeria as well as to accumulate experience in the fast-growing Sub-Saharan Africa region.
