Huntsman to expand EO, MEG capacity Huntsman Corporation has announced a major expansion of the company's ethylene oxide (EO) and mono ethylene glycol (MEG) production. The debottlenecking and upgrading of the EO and MEG production units at Huntsman's Port Neches, Texas site will increase EO production by 200 MMlb/yr, to a total of 1.2 Blb/yr; and MEG production by 180 MMlb/yr, to more than 800 MMlb/yr. Huntsman expects the new capacity to be online in fourth-quarter 1998.
