Neles supplies valves for Oman LNG plant Neles Controls has been awarded over four million pounds worth of contracts by Chiyoda-Foster Wheeler. Neles will supply critical valves in connection with the new liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant being built for Oman LNG LLC in Qalhat. The plant will consist of two equal-size trains with a total capacity of 6.6 MMtpy. Oman LNG LLC is an Omani company; the Oman government and private companies, including Shell, are shareholders. This project is said to be one of the largest worldwide in the LNG industry. The final product is scheduled to be shipped in 2000 to customers in South Korea and Japan.
