I recently turned into our Production Dept. the articles for our May supplement, Fieldbus Technology. It will be mailed to readers of Gulf Publishing Co.'s three magazines – Hydrocarbon Processing, Pipe Line & Gas Industry and World Oil – who indicated an involvement in instrumentation when they subscribed. It is evident from the several case history articles and tutorials that fieldbus is paving the way to moving control into the field. Coming full circle. But didn't process control begin in the field?
