The POSC/CAESAR project focuses on standardizing the technical data definitions for facilities and equipment associated with onshore and offshore oil and gas development facilities. There are close ties with ISO-STEP. Major achievements have been made during the last year. The initiative's specifications are already in use by several companies and projects. With the current very low oil price/barrel, "standardization work has to focus on delivering useful results that can be implemented now," according to the initiative.
