In this day and age of low crude oil prices, low product prices and, consequently, low operating margins, HPI operating companies are implementing many different strategies to improve overall profitability. While many operating companies are cutting costs through mergers and acquisitions (and subsequent staff reductions), others are looking at the other side of the balance sheet for ways to increase income.
