The Measurement, Control & Automation Association (MCAA) held its annual executive forum May 17–18 in Malvern, Pennsylvania. MCAA is an organization of instrumentation and control suppliers and is not familiar to most users. The theme of the meeting was "Headfirst Toward the Millennium." Attendees are typically the movers and shakers of the control business: CEOs, VPs, marketing managers, etc. So what's on their minds? A major concern of this group is commoditization of the controls business.
