ABB awarded ethylene furnace project by BASF ABB Lummus Global has been awarded a turnkey contract by BASF to implement an ethylene furnace project at the BASF Antwerp facility in Belgium. The SRT VI furnace features a large-capacity two-pass radiant-coil design that provides high olefins yields, long run lengths and a high thermal efficiency. The design also incorporates a second-generation Quick Quench transfer-line exchanger, which has a higher capacity consistent with the industry's trend to larger heaters.
