PPG to double production capacity for Teslin sheet PPG Industries will add a second manufacturing unit at its Barberton, Ohio, chemical facility to produce Teslin sheet. When completed in late 2000, the new unit will double the facility's production capacity. Teslin sheet is a unique silica-polymer synthetic printing material that prints like paper, yet is durable and waterproof like plastic. The additional capacity is expected to enable PPG Industries to meet growing demand for Teslin sheet in its key markets, which include general printing, cards, tags and labels, self-adhesive and industrial applications.
