Aspen Technology, Inc., Cambridge, Massachusetts, a leading provider of enterprise optimization and extended supply chain solutions for the process industries, has signed a Plantelligence agreement with Sunoco Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Suncor Energy Inc. and a leading Canadian refiner. Sunoco's parent, Suncor Energy, is a Canadian-based, integrated energy company traded on the New York and Toronto stock exchanges. Sunoco Inc. in Canada is a separate and unrelated company from Sunoco in the U.S., which is run by Sunoco, Inc., Philadelphia. Under agreement terms, AspenTech and Sunoco will work together to achieve Sunoco's goal of refinerywide optimization (RWO) by implementing Aspen
