The refining industry is facing even more challenges. Unfortunately, refiners lack the "magic bullets" that could resolve these issues, especially for "clean" fuels. In the U.S., proposed fuel specifications are deeply embedded in the political forum. How did we get here? Fuels - gasoline and diesel - are high-demand, commodity products.
