MyPlant.com held a seminar for editors on September 21 - 23 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The purpose was to show the "press" what is available on the site today and discuss future plans in its target industries (petroleum; chemicals; power generation; pulp and paper; pharmaceuticals; and mining, minerals and metals). Is there a need? According to MyPlant.com president, Tom Galantry, "Users are highly fragmented, with over 500,000 industrial plants and facilities around the world." Solution providers are also fragmented and lack channels for efficient solution distribution." Thus, MyPlant.com was launched by Honeywell in July
