A global Internet exchange launched by 14 energy and petrochemical companies has recently completed several milestones toward providing an effective online trading community. Initially formed in April, the group has finished regulatory procedures required by the Federal Trade Commission and the European Union's Mergers Taskforce. Named Trade-Ranger, it is a neutral online platform for the exchange of energy industry goods and services, providing support to upstream, downstream and petrochemical operations. The site's goal is to "enable buyers and sellers to achieve significant savings in time and money by simplifying transaction processes" while providing access to a broad customer base. T
