The board of directors of the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association (NPRA) recently elected a new slate of officers to replace those whose terms are due to expire at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting on March 19, 2002. The 2002 Annual Meeting will mark the centennial year for the association. The board elected Duane Gilliam, an executive vice president of Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC, as chairman-elect to replace current chairman of the board Jerry Thompson, a senior vice president of CITGO Petroleum. Also elected at the fall board meeting as vice presidents and members of the executive committee of the association were: Jack Hurst, Occidental Chemical; Joel Maness, Sunoco
