Minimize NOx I read with interest "Minimize NOx emissions cost-effectively" (June 2001), and there are a few points I would like to make on the subject. NOx is going to be an important issue for the foreseeable future. The new Houston / Galveston-area NOx state implementation plan (SIP) rules adopted by the Texas Natural Resources Conservation Commission has resulted in challenging the limits of available NOx control technologies. With over 6,000 diversified point sources in the Houston-Galveston area alone, the most cost-effective NOx control technology will need to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
