ABB Lummus Global has bought a minority interest in Swedish software maker Industrial & Financial Systems AB (IFS). ABB has acquired 3.7% of IFS and 1.8% of the voting rights through a direct share issue worth $10 million. The investment strengthens the existing technical and commercial alliance between the two companies. Andarko Petroleum Corp. has sold 100% of its wholly owned subsidiary, Basic Resources International, to Perenco for $120.5 million. Basic produces and refines crude oil in the Central American country of Guatemala. Perenco is a privately held European exploration and production company.
