CB&I completes LNG project
CB&I has completed the design, detail
engineering, material supply, fabrication, project
management, construction, startup and operator training for
the 4 billion scf liquid natural gas (LNG) peakshaving
facility in North Carolina. The plant includes a gas
pretreatment system to remove CO2 and other
impurities.
The 20-million scfd liquefaction system uses
CB&I's proprietary mixed refrigerant liquefier (MRL) and
is designed to fill the two 600,000 bbl capacity LNG storage
tanks during a 200-day liquefaction season. It was also
