Data management solution investments by the process and power industries will grow far more rapidly than the data management market as a whole, according to a new study by Daratech, Inc., a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based market research and technology assessment firm. Overall, the global market for data management solutions will grow an estimated 17%/yr over the next several years as enterprises recover and rebuild following the economic downturn. However, much more "dramatic" growth will come in the product data management (PDM) market. Daratech projects user spending will rise 35%/year through 2007. Document/content management (DM/CM) investments are forecast to grow 25%/yr
