Consortium revamping BASF plant Technip-Coflexip and Asahi Kasei Corp. have a lump sum contract, worth 50 million euros, with BASF AG, converting a diaphragm chlor-alkali plant to membrane technology. The facility is located at Ludwigshafen, Germany. Technip-Coflexip's engineering center in Dusseldorf, Germany, will facilitate the project and work in collaboration with Asahi Kasei. Contract scope covers the license, basic design, detail engineering, procurement, equipment and materials, as well as construction. Included is a complete equipment exchange in the cell room and modifications and/or new installations for all
