New floating-roof tank seal technology Chicago Bridge & Iron Company N.V. has introduced a patented VS-300L Low-Profile Secondary Seal for use on internal or external floating-roof tanks that store petroleum and other volatile liquids. The product requires substantially less vertical clearance than conventional metallic secondary seals, allowing a tank's storage capacity height to be increased by as much as 14 in.
