Select refinery assets acquired ConocoPhillips is purchasing certain assets at Premcor's Hartford, Illinois, refinery. The purchase includes the coker, crude unit, catalytic cracker, alkylation unit, isomerization unit, a portion of the site utilities and a portion of the storage tanks used at the facility. The assets will be integrated with the Wood River refinery. Its production will not increase, but the purchase will enable the refinery to process heavier, lower-cost crude oil that is prevalent throughout both North and South America. Instrument and valve services network formed Emerson Process Management, Austin, Texas, is forming what is claimed to be North America's largest
