Snamprogetti, the Eni engineering and construction company, in a joint venture with Chiyoda Corp. have a contract with Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Co. Ltd. (II) (RasGas II). The agreement is for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the fifth liquefied natural gas (LNG) train, an LNG tank and other related facilities in Ras Laffan, Qatar.
RasGas' Train 5 will be built near the existing trains 3 and 4 facilities, which were executed by the same joint venture. The project is scheduled for completion fourth-quarter of 2006.
Train 5 is expected to produce 4.7 million metric tpy of LNG. The supply for Train 5 will come from Qatar's North Field, which currently
