GE Energy is supplying a power recovery system for Valero Energy Corp.'s refinery in Paulsboro, New Jersey. It will have the capacity to generate 18 MW of electricity to help support operations. The equipment will be shipped fourth-quarter 2005 and installed during the second-quarter of 2006, when it will begin operation. The power recovery system features a hot-gas expander, which will recover energy from the exhaust of the catalyst regenerator in the fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) at Valero's Paulsboro facility.
