Businesses rely on just-in-time capacity enhancements and first-to-market product strategies to gain competitive advantage and increase profit margins. This has created an increased demand for a high-performance project delivery system that can achieve a dramatic reduction in project delivery time. Thus, the Construction Industry Institute chartered a research team to examine how companies could radically reduce project cycle time. "Radical reduction" is defined as a 25% or more drop in overall project cycle time when compared to the current industry standard for jobs of similar size and scope.
