BP and China Petrochemical International Co., a Sinopec Corp. unit, have an agreement to license BP’s Innovene gas phase polypropylene process technology. The process will be used to upgrade Sinopec’s Beijing Yanhua Petrochemical Co. Ltd.’s polypropylene manufacturing complex. The plant will produce homopolymers and random copolymers and have a production capacity of 120,000 metric tons. Agreement terms were not released. Scientific Design Co. Inc., (SD), Little Ferry, New Jersey, is providing its ethylene oxide/ ethylene glycol (EO/EG) process to Thai Olefins Public Co. Ltd. (TOC).
