The Turkish Petroleum Refineries Corp. (Tüpras) has selected Axens for its gasoline pool upgrading project. Axens will provide its Benfree and Prime-G+ technologies as part of a program to produce product meeting European gasoline specifications for benzene and sulfur content. Two 10,100 bpd Prime-G+ units will produce ultra-low sulfur gasoline at the Tüpras Izmit and Izmir refineries, while a 24,000 bpd Benfree unit, for benzene reduction in gasoline, will be built at the Izmit refinery. Startup for all three units is scheduled for fourth-quarter 2006. The Energy Technology business unit of mg technologies ag has a contract from Qatar to build air-cooling systems. T
