Haldor Topsøe's low energy ammonia technology will be used at a 2,000 metric tpy ammonia plant in the ammonia/ urea complex to be built by Sohar International Urea & Chemicals Industries at the Sohar Industrial Area. The plant will be situated approximately 260 km northwest of Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman. Topsøe will supply technology, license, engineering services, catalysts and will guarantee the ammonia plant performance. The fertilizer complex will be constructed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Technology for the 3,500 metric tpd urea plant is being supplied by Snamprogetti S.p.A. Safra Co. Ltd. is using Axens' aromizing continuous catalyt
