An estimated 35 active LNG production projects with a combined capital investment value of more than $50 billion are scheduled to begin production in the next five years, according to data from Industrial Information Resources (Industrialinfo.com). Large capital investments in LNG production are projected to escalate through 2025, especially as natural gas continues to remain the major energy source of the West. The strongest LNG growth is expected to come from Iran, Qatar, Australia, Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria and Russia.
