Foster Wheeler USA Corp. has a reimbursable engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Sinclair Oil Corp. The agreement is for a 30,000-bpsd delayed coker, gas plant and coke-handling facilities at its Tulsa, Oklahoma, refinery. The new coker, which will use Foster Wheeler's Selective Yield Delayed Coking process, is claimed to allow processing heavier crudes while maximizing higher value products production. Facility completion is scheduled for 2009. The Long Lake Project chose Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services (I&S) to treat a soot waste stream from its oil sands upgrading operation.
