Highest pressure rating for screw gas compressors Kobe Steel Ltd. (KOBELCO) has unveiled a series of high-pressure screw gas compressors rated up to 1,500 psig (100 barg) suction/ discharge pressure. This is claimed to be the highest pressure in the world developed by a screw gas compressor. The new gas compressors are conservatively designed with robust construction: thick heavy wall casings are already analyzed and proven by actual operation (Fig. 1). Some of the advantages claimed by the company's EH-series are high reliability, high efficiency, less maintenance, low vibration, easily manageable acoustics energy that equals low noise, low emissions and a small footprint.
