  BASF started its expanded plant for medium molecular weight polyisobutene (MM PIB) in Ludwigshafen, Germany. The result is an increase in capacity of 6,000 metric tpy of MM PIB. The company now has a total MM PIB capacity of 18,000 metric tons. BASF reported that there were no technical issues during the plant startup process.   Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has two separate contracts from Total France to provide basic and detailed engineering and procurement for a clean fuel facility on Total's site at Immingham, North Lincolnshire, UK.
