Virtual refinery aids operator training and safety studies Simulation Solutions, Inc. and SASICT, LLC have released what is claimed to be the industry's first Virtual Refinery for use in operator training, team training, safety and engineering studies. All aspects of a modern refinery are modeled simultaneously and in realistic detail: plant equipment and layout, DCS controls and instrumentation, navigation and dynamic operation.
