Investing in people knowledge I read your July 2007 "HPImpact" piece, "New world of work requires investment in people knowledge," with interest, as I've been a consultant and executive involved with the energy industry for over four decades. It is interesting to see what the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission has done, coming from demographics where the average age was 47.6 years in September of 2006, and faced with staffing to handle applications for over 20 new nuclear power plants, the first new plant applications in over 20 years. If you read the US Government Accountability Office review of the NRC Human Capital plan (www.gao.gov/htext/d07105.html), you see they have 50 initiative
