New technology and standards acceptance can typically meet with resistance from HPI stakeholders. However, representatives from leading automation companies recently spoke of the positive impact WirelessHART technology will have on the process industry. During the ISA 2008 conference held in Houston, they expressed their expectations for the quick adoption of the technology by end users. Industry-wide member companies of the HART Communication Foundation approved the standard in September 2007.
