Two of the most important dates in the HPI's meetings calendar are upon us. This month in London, where I'll be headed, it's International Petroleum Week (www.ipweek.co.uk). A few weeks later, the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association unleashes its annual meeting in San Diego (www.npra.org). Hydrocarbon Processing will publish the daily newspaper at the US meeting. They're quite different kinds of meetings, but they share agenda items and will both bring together hundreds of downstream executives. The former fills numerous earnest parallel technical sessions and is very well-attended by people who all seem to feel they should have cloned themselves in order to take it all in. Typ
