Petrobras has awarded Axens process licenses for its new Rio de Janeiro petrochemical complex (COMPERJ) in Itaborai, Brazil. Investment in COMPERJ is expected to total an estimated $8.5 billion. The complex is due to come onstream in 2012 and to be fully operational in 2013. With a processing capacity of 150,000 bpd of Brazilian heavy oil, COMPERJ will significantly increase Brazil's heavy oil refining capacity and reduce naphtha imports. Through the agreement, Axens will supply its technologies, as well as middle distillate, kerosene and pyrolysis gasoline, plus heavy naphtha hydrotreatment units.   CB&I has a contract with Refinería de Cartagena S.A. for a refinery expansi
